Press Release Body = Boston, MA June 13, 2006 -- Sinha Capoeira master from Somerville, Ma. Contre-Mastre Chuvisqinho, donated his time and energy to perform at a Youth For Human Rights Concert on June 4th sponsored by the Church of Scientology.
Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian art form that combines elements of martial arts, dance, music and acrobatics. The Sinha Capoeira team is a diverse group including all ages of children, teens, and adults, all with various backgrounds. Sinha Capoeira promotes creativity and healthy lifestyles, and therefore discourages aspects of violence and drug abuse that plague our community. In a joint effort with the Church of Scientology, they helped uplift spirits and promote Human Rights to local Bostonians and tourists who stopped to watch the vibrant performance. Members from all over the city performed together: Gastrell C.
